Celebrate Agape - with Endurance

Hi ACA Families

It’s Walk-A-Thon Week! We are Celebrating Agape … with Endurance Pledge forms are availibile, and each student should have received one on Friday – if they did not, please have them collect one from the WAT board outside the school office. Please return this form on Walk-A-Thon Day – May 8th. Additional pledges and mailed donations may still come in after the walk-a-thon, but please ensure that the attached pledge form is turned in by Friday. Thank you!
Week 6 - Celebrate Agape … with Endurance is the most exciting week of all – the week our students and staff get to ‘walk the walk’. We will be celebrating our school this week and what it means to each of us, culminating in an afternoon Pep Rally on Thursday and the Walk-A-Thon on Friday from 9:00 -2:00.

Why Celebrate Agape … with Endurance? Endurance is the inward strength to withstand stress and do our best. This Christ-like characteristic provides us the opportunity and develops His strength in each of us, so that we can continue to do what is right even through hard times and difficult tasks. What a better thing for each of us to remember but to approach all things that we do with Endurance …
“They that wait on the Lord shall, renew their strength; and with wings of
eagles shall mount up and fly; they shall run and not weary; they shall walk and
not faint; and with perfect endurance they shall finish the race!” Isaiah 40:31

ACA Students have Endurance …
We will … Not Quit! … Accept both instruction and correction … Not waste our time, energy, and talent on meaningless pursuits … Bend instead of break … Put our whole hearts into everything we do!

Celebrate Your Class … with Gratefulness pledge forms are now availible – Each student should receive one of these forms – if they did not, please have them collect one from the WAT board outside the school office. You will receive one more pledge form for week 6. Please return this form to your students’ Teacher / Advisor on Friday May 1st including any pledges / money collected.

Week 5 - Celebrate Your Class … with Gratefulness is a week for all ACA students and faculty to reflect and talk about how much they enjoy the time they spend together each school day. With changing times ahead it is important that we all focus on how grateful we have been for the time we’ve spent at Agape and how much we appreciate those in our class with kind expressions.

Why Celebrate Your Class … with Gratefulness? Gratefulness is letting others know by our words and actions how they have blessed us. Being grateful brings much joy and deep friendships as we reflect on the way that others have benefited our lives.

Jean Baptiste Massieu said
“Gratitude is the memory of the heart.”

ACA Students are Enthusiastic … We will

  • Show our classmates that we appreciate them
  • Write ‘Thank you’ notes to our advisors
  • Take care of our things
  • Be content with what we have
  • Count our blessings rather than our burdens.

Do you want to know if someone you have sent a mailer to has sent in a donation – visit http://www.ps-aca.blogspot.com/ and click on the link to find out! Please note that updates will be made on Monday / Tuesday of the following week.

Keep up the good work on collecting donations and sponsorships! Remember if everyone does something we can reach our goals! It’s not too late!

Week 4 - Celebrate Teachers and Staff

Week 4 - Celebrate Teachers and Staff … with Enthusiasm is a week for all ACA families to show their appreciation for our teachers and staff. We would like to encourage each family to do something ‘special’ for your student(s) teachers and ACA’s office staff.
Some small suggestions would be a kind note, a hand made card or picture from students, special treats and or snacks. Any kind gesture would be appreciated – so lets show them how much we care.

Why Celebrate Teachers and Staff … with Enthusiasm? Being Enthusiastic not only reveals that we are excited about being part of what is going on, it also allows us to show joy in each task while giving our best effort.

ACA Students are Enthusiastic … We will …
•Be energy-givers
•Smile
•Treat every job as important
•Put our whole hearts into what we do
•Not be discouraged by failure

Ralph Waldo Emerson said,
Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm

Remember – Corporate Sponsor forms for Donations are available on the Walk-A-Thon board. Please consider asking for a business you know for a sponsorship – this can double our earnings! Thanks for your consideration.

Week 3 - Celebrate Jesus ... with Meekness

Hi ACA Families,

Week 3 is Celebrate Jesus … with Meekness . Why Celebrate Jesus … with Meekness? Meekness is one of the hardest Christ-like characteristics for most people to accomplish. Being MEEK means that one
lays down or yields their personal rights and expectations, with a desire to
serve.

ACA Students desire to show Meekness …
I will … be slow to get angry … not boast … not grumble or complain … look for ways to help those in need … be willing to go last.

Remember – Corporate Sponsor forms for Donations are available on the Walk-A-Thon board. Please consider asking for a business you know for a sponsorship – this can double our earnings! Thanks for your consideration.
